An Introduction...

After much forethought and an average amount of procrastination, I have elected to start a blog. The purpose of what will likely prove a rambling, random collection of my thoughts and opinions, and hopefully some decent pictures of guns, is primarily to keep track of my individual progress as a pistol shooter, and give me the opportunity to provide whatever small knowledge I have gained to others, and to learn from the expertise of those more knowledgeable than myself.

I've shot rifles and shotguns most of my life, and I shoot them pretty well, but until I owned my first handgun, the only known example of a reliable Para-ordnance 1911, I had almost zero experience shooting handguns. From those early days of big-bore, single stack goodness, I have completely changed the way I shoot several times, tried different approaches and schools of thought of handgun shooting, and finally I'm starting to see some results.

Now, as soon as I have some free time, and finally get my much anticipated iPhone 4s, I'll get down to the nitty gritty, and start posting some things worth reading.

More to come.
